St. Catherine Labouré’s message of prayer and hope is now part of a social media weekly post on Instagram. It began as part of the Shrine’s Novena November 2020 theme in which actor, Victoria Bonita, recited novena prayers live at 9:00 p.m. (ET) every Monday night. This live event is available in the Shrine’s Miraculous Medal Instagram IGTV archive to be viewed anytime, anywhere.

Since its early launch, the popularity of the live event has exploded. Beginning in December, the event started including a short reflection, which is relevant to a Shrine theme, holy day, Marian celebration, or saint feast day.

St. Catherine’s message of prayer and hope grew organically, and within one month, the follower base grew to 1,000 new followers each week.

These short messages appeal to all ages and have found a promising audience with youth and young adults. Hundreds of people are sharing their heartfelt devotion to Our Lady in this prayer-led, virtual community every week.
