St. Carlo Acutis Exhibit at the Basilica Shrine

The Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will host the St. Carlo Acutis Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit in the shrine’s Lower Level, from Friday, February 13–Ash Wednesday, February 18.

Pope Francis encouraged Carlo Acutis’ cause for canonization and declared him “Blessed” in 2020. Blessed Carlo Acutis was declared a saint by Pope Leo XIV on September 7, 2025.

About the Exhibit

The exhibit features photographs and historical descriptions highlighting key Eucharistic Miracles recognized by the Church across different countries. The exhibition is set in an art gallery style, allowing visitors to become immersed in the stories of more than 200 Eucharistic Miracles. It is hoped those who experience the exhibit will be drawn closer to Jesus by highlighting His real presence in the consecrated bread and wine, which Carlo called his “motorway to heaven.

firstclass relic of St. Carlos Acutis will also be on display while the exhibit is at the Basilica Shrine.

The Life of St. Carlo Acutis

St. Carlo Acutis was a remarkable young man. At an early age, he developed a great love for Our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament. As St. Carlo grew to adolescence, he was fascinated by computer technology and developed a remarkable proficiency, well beyond his age, in that field. Uniting his love for the Blessed Sacrament and his technological abilities, St. Carlo created a website cataloging all the Extraordinary Eucharistic Miracles that have occurred throughout the world, which is included in the Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit.

In October 2006, at age 15, St. Carlo was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. He died 11 days later. Soon after his passing, recognizing his unique life of holiness, people began seeking his intercession in prayer.

Experience an Extraordinary Opportunity

We warmly invite the Basilica Shrine community to visit this inspiring exhibit and encounter the remarkable faith and life of St. Carlo Acutis and to share in this extraordinary opportunity for prayer and reflection.
