What was Mary’s life like after the death and resurrection of her Son? How did she adjust to a new life, having to accept the care of another, moving to a new location? We will explore clues from scripture, tradition, and art, which help us to envision her later life, while contemplating the life challenges we are all called to face at various stages of life. Prayer and meditation will be part of our morning.

Presenter: Dr. Julie Burkey is founder of J. Burkey Associates, a search firm specializing in the placement of leadership in Catholic institutions. She is also an adjunct professor of pastoral theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology, Seton Hall University. Previously, Dr. Burkey served the Seminary as Director of Workplace Spirituality & Evangelization Initiatives, and the Archdiocese of Newark as a Pastoral Associate for Stewardship & Evangelization for St. Joseph Parish in Maplewood, NJ. She holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Seton Hall University and a Doctor of Ministry degree from The Catholic University of America.
